The following appear in order of most valuable hand (royal flush) to the least valuable hand (high card). Please note that in games where wild cards are incorporated, 5 of a kind is the best possible hand that can be made (5 of one rank, and one wild card).

Royal Flush
5 Suited cards of sequential, royal rank, (highest straight flush possible)

Straight Flush
5 Suited Cards of sequential Rank

Four Of A Kind
4 cards of the same rank

|
Fullhouse
A hand containing both three of a kind and a Pair. (In a contest between two fullhouses, the winner is the player having a higher three of a kind, in the event the players share the 3 of a kind, the hand would then be decided by the higher pair)

Flush
Any 5 cards of the same suit

|
Straight
5 cards of sequential rank. An Ace can be used as both high and low unless otherwise specified.

Three of Kind
3 Cards of identical rank
|
|
Two Pair
2 sets of matched rank cards

Pair
Two cards of matching rank
|
|
High Card
None of the above...Winner is determined by highest card. When the highest cards are shared, the winner is determined by the next highest card.
