Poker Rank Of Hands

The following appear in order of most valuable hand (royal flush) to the least valuable hand (high card). Please note that in games where wild cards are incorporated, 5 of a kind is the best possible hand that can be made (5 of one rank, and one wild card).

Royal Flush
5 Suited cards of sequential, royal rank, (highest straight flush possible)

Straight Flush
5 Suited Cards of sequential Rank

Four Of A Kind
4 cards of the same rank

Fullhouse
A hand containing both three of a kind and a Pair.  (In a contest between two fullhouses, the winner is the player having a higher three of a kind, in the event the players share the 3 of a kind, the hand would then be decided by the higher pair)

Flush
Any 5 cards of the same suit

Straight
5 cards of sequential rank.  An Ace can be used as both high and low unless otherwise specified.

Three of Kind
        3 Cards of identical rank

Two Pair
2 sets of matched rank cards

Pair
        Two cards of matching rank

High Card
None of the above...Winner is determined by highest card. When the highest cards are shared, the winner is determined by the next highest card.
