Your shopping cart is empty! Show me the poker hands You will need around 400-500 chips to play with 10 players, because you normally want around 40 chips per person. You want many more lower value chips than high value ones - and the lowest value should be equal to the value of the small blind.

What is the best poker hand?
Sorry, we just need to make sure you're not a robot. For best results, please make sure your browser is accepting cookies. Sign up to stay in touch! I know this can be done in excel but excel is too slow. I need a program that can simulate 1000s of poker games and I think SAS is far superior for this task. But I'm a bit concerned that it will still be too slow if it needs to read a table with 2.6m rows to allocate a rank for every hand. The poker games I'm trying to simulate might only involve 50 hands altogether but hat means looking up the rank table 300 times. I suppose I won't know until I've created the algorithm but It is a concern.

Poker values

For a straight, a flush, or a straight flush, all cards are participating. For the other hands, it's the cards involved in the sets of the same number. The order of cards from highest to lowest is A (14), K (13), Q (12), J (11), 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2. Exception: when an ace is used in a low straight (A-2-3-4-5), it is below a 2 in value (effectively a 1). Example 1: Q♠-J♠-8♠-5♠-4♠ beats Q♠-J♠-6♠-5♠-4♠ because the 8 is higher than the 6. Example 2: A-K-Q-J-10 beats K-Q-J-10-9 because A is higher than K. Example 3: a 3-3-3-2-2 beats a 2-2-2-K-K because the triplet of a full house is more important than the pair. Just added to your cart No. The Poker hand rankings are the same for all different types of poker. However, games can be held where the lowest hand wins.
